The substation low voltage power distribution provides the link between transformer and consumer.  The low voltage distribution board is fed directly from the transformer. GRÄPER engineers design the switchgear to meet the customer’s individual requirements, and according to the technical requirements and/or connection requirements of the relevant energy supplier.

For each order, GRÄPER’s experts produce a complete set of documents and technical drawings (construction diagrams, overview diagrams, circuit diagrams and terminal connection diagrams). Each system is subjected to a routine test before delivery, to check the function, the electrical insulation and (if requested) the effectiveness of the protection devices.

GRÄPER always offers customer-specific solutions for low voltage switchgear assemblies, providing high quality and safety. Experimental type tests on GRÄPER switchgear systems are carried out in the high performance test bay at the Institut Prüffeld für elektrische Hochleistung (IPH) [Institute Heavy Duty Test Facility] in Berlin, and cover thermal and mechanical short circuit resistance, operation within threshold temperatures, isolation resistance and protection classes.
